- Description:
Ale toto gesto angažovanosti ve prospěch odporu Čechoslováků musí být chápáno v perspektivě širšího rámce historického výzkumu dané doby a reflexe dějin vítězi. and In 1964 Polish poet Zbigniew Herbert obtained his visa for Greece. This trip was the basis for five essays devoted to ancient Greece that were published between 1965 and 1973, before being gathered in a posthumous collection, The Labyrinth by the Sea (2000). In the fifth essay, written in 1969, Herbert interested in the episode about the Revolt of Samos against Athenian hegemony. Why this particular interest? This subject allows him to speak about the present (the Prague Spring) and its repression by-passing censorship: the detour in the past as well as the process of explicit and especially implicit analogy. The dissident poet also proposes a political analysis of Soviet totalitarianism, playing on a series of double meanings. But this commitment supporting the revolt of the Czechoslovaks must be put into perspective in the broader context of the historical research of his time and his reflection on how the victors write history.

- Description:
V názorovo zložitých pohyboch a diferencujúcich sa estetických a poetologických procesoch treba spomenúť genologické pohyby a nimi iniciované morfologické, estetické a noetické ambície debutantov. V zložitom kultúrno-spoločenskom období sa mení postavenie, rola, závažnosť aj spoločenská dominancia spisovateľa, ktorý po skončení druhej svetovej vojny stál pri prameni všetkého "nového", čo malo posunúť slovenskú literatúru do európskeho priestoru. and At the turn of the 1940s and the 1950s poetics of a prosaic text in Slovak literature reflected several individual items in a literary historical context. They were gradually connected to the changes in social and political realities, the reminiscences of a fading literary life of the first half of the 20th century and the status of the author in the inter-war literature, the post-war concept formation and the declared program of new modern Slovak literature, a generational exchange comprising authors and literary history, the selection of the dominant themes in addition to the prosaic projection of an individual in the prose by the debutants at the end of the 1950s. Among the complex changes in opinions and differentiating aesthetic and poetological processes it is necessary to mention the genealogical movements and morphological, aesthetic and noetic ambitions of the debutants initiated by them. In the difficult cultural and social period, the status, role, importance and social dominance of a writer undergo substantial changes. After the Second World War, it is the writer who was the source of all the "new" which should have moved the Slovak literature to Europe.

- Language:

- Description:
- This study is concerned with the analysis of police and censorship responses to the economic, social and political preconditions of 1848 revolution in Vienna. It points out, how the reform of rural and suburban police in terms of establishing new police commissariats had failed to a large degree, depriving police authorities of permanent control of these insecure areas. Typical police measures like strict censorship of books, journals or songs, surveillance of places of tension like reforming Italian states neighboring with Habsburg province Lombardo-Venetia and precise registration of revolutionary elements, combined with competence clashes of Vienna authorities as well as personal failures of police leaders Muth and Sedlnitzky, proved to be more than insufficient in order to prevent the inevitable change of the rigid absolutistic regime in the Habsburg monarchy.

- Language:
- Czech and English
- Description:
- The paper focuses on the links between the doctrines taught by Joseph von Sonnenfels at the University of Vienna and his moral weekly Der Mann ohne Vorurtheil. The hypothesis that Sonnenfels uses his publication to divulge his academic findings to a wider public is supported by a comparison of his academic and literary works, and three of the many aspects are presented. Sonnenfels writes not only about moral issues but also about the ideal relationship between the state and its citizens, and he uses the moral weekly to express his ideas about the Viennese theatre and the way it should be censored. With regard to censorship there exist some differences between the theory defended by Sonnenfels and his personal experience as an author. In fact some pieces of his moral weekly got him in trouble and he was forbidden to address certai topics, such as the Church and the situation of the peasants. The most prevalent themae, however, is marriage and gender relations. According to his doctrines high ethical and educational standards as well as a high population keep a state safe from within and that leads Sonnenfels to concentrate on this issue., Magdalena Matzneller., and Obsahuje bibliografické odkazy
