Genológia vytvára podložie literárnovedného výskumu v jeho predmetoch venovaných histórii, teórii, kritike, komparatistike, areálu. Tradičný výklad problematiky druhov a žánrov sa otvoril synkretizmu, čím sa uvoľnili pôvodné schémy/morfológia jednotlivých žánrov. Výskum genológie a medziliterárnych kontaktov literatúr nadväzuje na problematiku teórie umeleckého textu a na autorskú realizáciu umeleckého textu, jeho poetológiu a literárnu estetiku. Literárna veda vo vzťahu ku genológii si všíma metodológiu literárnej histórie. and Genology creates the foundation of literary-scientific research in its subjects dealing with the history, theory, criticism, comparative literature, defined area. The traditional interpretation of genres was opened to syncretism, thereby releasing the original schemes / morphology of different genres. Research of genology and interliterary contacts follows the issue of the theory of artistic text and author's realization of the artistic text, its poetology and literary aesthetics. Literary studies in relation to genology is focused on methodology of literary history.
