1_ Analysis of chipped stone industry from Kopčany and Brehov (Slovakia). The fl ake stone assemblages (and other assemblages) which were discovered during the excavation of two archaeological sites in Eastern Slovakia – Zemplínske Kopčany and Brehov were analysed. Seventeen stone artefacts were found in object No. 24A-D/1974 at Zemplínske Kopčany. Obsidian stone, which is a local raw material, occurs at a higher frequency than imported raw materials – Jurassic fl int “G” and basalt. With the exception of two blanks (cores), the assemblage consists of fi nished tools, most of which were made on blades. Other tools present include two fl ake scrapers and a blunt drill made of Jurassic fl int “G”. One obsidian core is lightly reduced and the second obsidian core has a pyramidal shape. The remainder of the Zemplínske Kopčany assemblage includes ten fi nished products made of local (sedimentary rocks) and imported raw material (amphibolite?). Whetstones are most common and axes are less numerous. The assemblage also includes a wedge, a fragment of an axe-hammer, a globular pestle and conical byproducts from axe-hammer production., 2_ Local raw materials were used at Brehov. The local obsidian dominates and other stone materials are present in small proportions. The typological character of the fl ake industries is also different. Flakes account for 68 % of the artefacts and blades 25 %. Specifi c artefacts are the „łuszcznie“ (“Splitter” in German) though to have been used as chisels or cutting tools. The cores are very small and lightly reduced. One pebble with negative scars and one drill (borer) are also present. Other artefacts include a shaft of a fl at axe made of local hornstone and a fragment of an unfi nished granodiorite axe-hammer with a hole drilled in the middle (possibly originating from the High Tatras?). The analyzed assemblages are compared with assemblages from other Baden Culture sites in Slovakia and in particular to those from the Malopolskie Voivodship. The analyzed artefacts from Zemplínske Kopčany and Brehov correspond to two phases in the development of the Baden Culture. The older phase has stronger affi nities to the Funnel Beaker Culture, and in the case of the Brehov site, to a younger phase, which is parallel with the Pleszow-Zesławice group in the Malopolskie Voivodship., Marián Soják., and Obsahuje seznam literaruty
Jeden z problémů středoevropského eneolitu představuje pohřební ritus badenské kultury, vcelku dobře dokumentovaný ve východní části jejího rozšíření a o to hůře v oblasti západní, kam spadají i Čechy. Předmětem předloženého příspěvku je prezentace prvních uspokojivě dokumentovaných kostrových hrobů ze jmenované oblasti, které byly prozkoumány v Holubicích, okr. Praha-západ. Práce přináší kromě zevrubného vyhodnocení nálezové situace a všech získaných pramenů též soubor radiokarbonových dat. Dále je v ní řešena detailní chronologická pozice hrobů a míra jejich podobnosti s projevy pohřbívání v jiných oblastech rozšíření badenského komplexu. and One important issue in the central European Eneolithic is the Baden culture burial rite, which is documented quite well in the eastern part of its territory, though worse in the western region, including Bohemia. The subject of this article is the presentation of the first satisfactorily documented inhumation graves from the specified area investigated in Holubice in the Prague-západ district. In addition to a thorough evaluation of the find situation and all of the acquired sources, the article also provides a set of radiocarbon dates. The work establishes the detailed chronological position of the graves and the degree of their similarity to the manifestations of burials in other areas of the Baden complex.
Studie pokrývá zejména období starého eneolitu, méně pak střední a pozdní eneolit. K většině pojednávaných pohřbů jsou nově publikovány nálezové okolnosti a antropologické posudky. Na základě chronologické analýzy hrobů datovaných radiokarbonovým datováním lze přibližně definovat časový rozptyl jednotlivých způsobů pohřbívání na Moravě. Nejspolehlivěji lze datovat ploché hroby s jedinci v natažené poloze bez hrobových přídavků do ca 3800–3600 BC. and The article addresses the chronology of Eneolithic inhumation burials in Moravia based on radiocarbon dating. A total of 17 individuals were dated using 20 radiocarbon dates, primarily individuals without grave goods or individuals from problematic contexts. The study mainly covers the period of the Early Eneolithic, to a lesser extent the Middle and Late Eneolithic. The find contexts and anthropological assessments are newly published for most of the burials in question. Based on the chronological analysis of graves dated by radiocarbon dating, it is possible to approximately define the time dispersion of individual burial methods in Moravia. Flat graves with individuals in a stretched position without grave goods can be most reliably dated to about 3800–3600 BC.
Ty zahrnují standardní rozbor aplikovaného pohřebního ritu a souvisejících nálezů, se zvýšenou pozorností věnovanou problematice chronologické uzavřenosti souboru, podepřenou dvěma radiouhlíkovými daty. Dále je komentována pozice diskutovaného celku v kontextu praktik používaných při konstrukcích hrobů nejen nositeli české šňůrové keramiky, ale i obdobných skupin středoevropských. Na pozadí prezentovaných analogií je v závěru nastíněna představa o původní podobě hrobky, včetně následných postdepozičních procesů s ní souvisejících. and The subject of the article is an inhumation Corded Ware culture grave with a unique stone lining investigated in northwest Bohemian Nezabylice in 2017. The work is based on a detailed description of the find situation accompanied by the following analyses. These include a standard analysis of the applied burial ritual and related finds, with heightened attention being paid to the issue of the chronological homogeneity of the assemblage supported by two radiocarbon dates. Also addressed is the position of the discussed unit in the context of grave construction practices of not only the bearers of the Bohemian Corded Ware culture but also similar central European groups. Against the background of presented parallels, the conclusion outlines an image of the original form of the tomb, including the subsequent related post-depositional processes.
