Východiska: Konformita se obecně definuje jako individuální způsob přizpůsobení se nátlaku referenční skupiny. Širší pojetí konformity zahrnuje shodný proces, kdy se však jedinec přizpůsobuje institucím nebo širším, méně strukturovaným seskupením lidí. Společnou charakteristikou různých pojetí konformity je, že tomuto procesu předchází konflikt mezi niterními silami osobnosti, které navádějí jedince, aby jednal podle vlastního přesvědčení a vnějšími silami skupiny, které dotyčnou osobu nutí, aby jednala dle očekávání skupiny. Cíl: Ústředním cílem předkládané výzkumné studie byla analýza míry konformity u dvou skupin adolescentů. Na podkladě teoretické analýzy fenoménu konformity se výzkum konkrétně zaměřoval na zjištění vzájemných souvislostí mezi obecnou konformitou, vrstevnickou konformitou, vrstevnickým nátlakem a oblíbeností spolu s rizikovým chováním adolescentů. Účastníky výzkumu byli čeští a američtí studenti ve věku 18–21 let. Metody: Pro zjištění plánovaných empirických údajů byly u obou souborů použity následující výzkumné metody: škála vrstevnického nátlaku, vrstevnické konformity, oblíbenosti a obecné konformity Santora, Messerveye a Kusumakara; a škála rizikového chování adolescentů, která byla vytvořena souhlasně s americkým Youth Risk Behavior Surveillence System. Výsledky: Statistická analýza výsledků neprokázala existenci statisticky významného rozdílu v těchto skupinách ve vnímání skupinového nátlaku. Nicméně muži z obou skupin adolescentů vnímají skupinový nátlak více než ženy. Výsledky šetření poukázaly mimo jiné na to, že pro amerického adolescenta je typická vyšší submisivita vůči dospělým autoritám a jejich požadavkům, na druhé straně čeští adolescenti inklinují více k vrstevnické konformitě. U českých studentů byla prokázána nižší touha být oblíbený mezi vrstevníky, než u jejich amerických protějšků. Závěry: Zjistili jsme, že existují shody i rozdíly mezi českými a americkými adolescenty v různých aspektech skupinové interakce. Zejména pak ve vnímání skupinového nátlaku, oblíbenosti, vrstevnické a obecné konformitě a rizikovém chování. Mezi českými a americkými adolescenty neexistuje statistický významný rozdíl v percepci vrstevnického nátlaku, nicméně co se týká pohlavních rozdílů, tak muži, jak čeští, tak američtí, vnímají vrstevnický nátlak více než ženy z obou zemí., Background: Conformity is generally defined as an individual way to adapt to the pressure of the referent group. The common characteristic of the different conceptions of conformity is that to this process precedes a conflict among the inner strengths of the personality who induce the individual to act according his own opinion and the strengths of the group who force the person to act according to the expectation of the group. There are two main reasons which produce conform behaviour. Those are informative and normative influences. The informative influence indicates the people give in the group pressure because of the belief of the truth of the opinion which is urged by the members of the group. The normative influence is based on the emotional processes. The reason of the individual conformity is the fear of the consequences, which might arise from the situation when the authentic opinion of the individual is contrary to the view of the other members of the group. Aim: The essence of the research is a trans-cultural analysis of conformity among two groups of adolescents. The prominent goal of the research was to take a look to the phenomenon of general conformity, peer conformity, peer pressure and popularity as well finding how risk behaviour is related to the mentioned manifestations of group behaviour. Methods: To determine the empirical data we used the following research methods: peer pressure, peer conformity, popularity and general conformity scale by Santor, Messervey and Kusumakar and a scale of risk behaviours of adolescents, which was created in agreement with the US Youth Risk Behaviour Surveillance System. Results: According to the statistical analysis we found out that between the Czech and American adolescents there is no significant difference in perceiving the group pressure. Men from both groups perceive the group pressure more than the girls. The other results showed that the American adolescents have bigger interest to be popular among the peers. Talking about conformity, for the American adolescent is typical noticeable submisivity to the adult authorities and their demands. On the other hand the Czech adolescents incline to peer conformity and risk behaviour while their desire to be popular is lower. However the peer conformity refers more to the Czech girls because the comparison of the results among the men didn’t show any differences. Conclusion: The comparison of the result among the adolescents of a different sex has shown some interesting information. The statistical analysis showed that men perceive the peer pressure more than the girls. The young men are predisposed to the risk activities than the young girls. Východiska: Východiskem výzkumného šetření byla Psychologická studie motivů pozdního rodičovství autorky Ireny Bímové. Cíl: Hlavním cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit důvody oddálení narození prvního dítěte u matek po 35. roce. Metody: Výběrovým kritériem pro zařazení do výběrového souboru byl věk primipary 35 let a více. Jako technika sběru dat byl použit polostrukturovaný dotazník vlastní konstrukce. Počet respondentů byl 92. Data byla získávána na gynekologicko-porodnických a novorozeneckých odděleních v období od ledna 2013 do ledna 2014. K analýze získaných dat byl použit Fischerův přesný test. Výsledky: Nejčastějším důvodem oddálení narození prvního dítěte u matek po 35. roce byl výběr vhodného partnera. Tuto variantu uvádí 42,4 % matek. Druhým nejčastějším důvodem byly problémy s otěhotněním u 32,6 % matek. Součástí výzkumu bylo zpětné pozitivní a negativní hodnocení věku matek při narození prvního dítěte po 35. roce. Zpětně hodnotilo pozitivně věk porodu 45,7 % žen, negativně hodnotilo věk 54,3 % žen. Ženy, které zpětně hodnotily věk porodu 1. dítěte negativně, uvedly signifikantně častěji jako důvod oddálení porodu „Problémy s otěhotněním“ (p = 0,014). Ženy, které zpětně hodnotily věk porodu 1. dítěte pozitivně, uvedly signifikantně častěji jako důvod oddálení porodu „Preferenci nezávislého způsobu života“ (p = 0,039). Závěry: Důvody oddálení narození prvního dítěte v pozdějším věku spadají zejména do oblasti sociální, psychologické a zdravotní. Výzkum může vést k zamyšlení nad problematikou trendu pozdního rodičovství. Aim: e aim of the research was to determine the reasons for postponing the first birth for mothers aer 35 years of age. Methods: e group selection criterion was a primipara age 35 and more. A semi-structured questionnaire of an original design was used to collect the research data. e number of respondents was 92. Data were obtained on obstetric and neonatal departments from January 2013 to January 2014. To analyze the data was used Fisher's exact test. Results: e most frequent reason for birth postponement amongst mothers aged 35 and more was the search for a suitable partner. is option was selected by 42.4% mothers. e second most frequent answer involved issues with conception, this being reported by 32.6% mothers. Additionally, the survey research included a retrospective positive or negative evaluation of the mothers’ age when they had their first child aer the age of 35. In retrospect, the age for the first birth was seen positively by 45.7% women and negatively by 54.3% women. Women evaluating the age for the first birth negatively significantly more oen reported the reason „Problems with conception“ (p = 0.014).
