- V minulém roce jsme přinesli výňatek z pamětí brněnského fyzika Vladimíra Nováka. Nyní využíváme příležitosti ukázat v bloku textů věnovaných mikroskopům a mikroskopii pedagogické mistrovství Vladimíra Nováka a jeho učitele Čeňka Strouhala úryvkem z kapitoly o optických přístrojích, kterou Novák zpracoval podle Strouhalových a vlastních přednášek a novější literatury., Čeněk (Vincenc) Strouhal, Vladimír Novák. - Description:
- This paper examines the personal interventions of the empress in the reform process. Maria Theresa intervened in this process in various ways. First of all, she was able to supervise it directly through her signing of official documents, to which she would add instructions for their enactment to the court authorities or to particular countries of her realm. She also tried to make sure that competent individuals were appointed to the administrative apparatus responsible for implementing and supervising the reforms, irrespective of their social estate - though in this she was only partly successful. In addition, she kept her civil servants in check by requiring them to file regular reports. Finally, by calling for fiscal economies she had a hand in controlling public expenditure., Zbyněk Sviták., and Obsahuje bibliografické odkazy

- math, differential equations, and oscillation
- Language:

- Description:
- Sufficient conditions are presented for all bounded solutions of the linear system of delay differential equations \[ (-1)^{m+1}\frac{d^my_i(t)}{dt^m} + \sum ^n_{j=1} q_{ij} y_j(t-h_{jj})=0, \quad m \ge 1, \ i=1,2,\ldots ,n, \] to be oscillatory, where $q_{ij} \varepsilon (-\infty ,\infty )$, $h_{jj} \in (0,\infty )$, $i,j = 1,2,\ldots ,n$. Also, we study the oscillatory behavior of all bounded solutions of the linear system of neutral differential equations \[ (-1)^{m+1} \frac{d^m}{dt^m} (y_i(t)+cy_i(t-g)) + \sum ^n_{j=1} q_{ij} y_j (t-h)=0, \] where $c$, $g$ and $h$ are real constants and $i=1,2,\ldots ,n$.

- Language:
- Multiple languages
- Description:
- A traditional method is reported for purification of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC; EC 4.1.1.31) from leaves of Amaranthus hypochondriacus L. with a high yield of 50 %, 135-fold purification, and specific activity of 900 mmol kg-1(protein) s-1. PEPC was purified from light-adapted leaves of A. hypochondriacus, involving 40-60 % ammonium sulphate fractionation, followed by chromatography on columns of DEAE-Sepharose, hydroxylapatite (HAP), and Seralose 6-B. The enzyme appeared as a single band on 10 % SDS-PAGE, with a molecular mass of about 100 kDa. Kinetic studies with purified enzyme confirmed the PEPC to be the light-form of the enzyme. Glycerol generally increased the stability of PEPC. The stability and storage of the purified enzyme was studied at temperatures of 4 °C, -20 °C, and liquid nitrogen. PEPC maintained its activity for up to 3 months upon storage with 50 % (v/v) glycerol in liquid nitrogen. and J. Gayathri, K. Parvathi, A. S. Raghavendra.

6. Vibrations of turbine blades bundles model with rubber damping elements

- Type:
- model:article and TEXT
- Subject:
- mathematical model, bundle of five blades, rubber damping elements, and eigenmodes
- Language:
- English
- Description:
- A detailed analysis of dynamical properties of five-blade-bundle mathematical model was carried out with the aim to investigate how the damping elements made of rubber inserted into slots between blades heads influence the response curves at different distribution of exciting harmonic forces. Viscous-elastic linear Voigt-Kelvin model was used for modeling the rheological properties of damping elements. Constant values of stiffness and damping parameters were supposed at analysis. The orthogonality of excitation forces distribution to the other eigenmodes of blades bundle is applied at insulated selected resonance. and Obsahuje seznam literatury
