- Subject:
- meteoric physic, meteoroids, and photographic and television records
- Language:
- Czech
- Description:
- Double and multistation data on meteors from photographic and television records are used. to derive relatlve and absolute numbers of sporadic meteoroids coming to the Earth s vlnicity and their mass accession. Seven different meteoroid populations are dealt with separately inside a mass interval of 2 x 10^ g to 2 x 10^-5 g and their cumulative numbers with decreasing mass determined. This paper is an abstract of more extensive paper, which will be published in Bull. Astron. Inst. Czechosl. In 1988.

- Subject:
- optical double-wedge splitter, frontal vacuum coated metal surface, parasitic image in direct and reflected beams, dvojklínový optický dělič, napařená frontální dělicí plocha, and parazitní obraz v odraženém a přímém svazku
- Language:
- Czech
- Description:
- For borescopes presented in papers [1] and [2] there can be sometimes advantageous to introduce an optical splitter, especially when we consider a regulation of the flame also in the near infrared (NIR) spectral region, see [3]. A conventional circular double-wedge plate with metal coated frontal surface of intensity ratio R/T = 80/20 allows to complete suppression of parasitic images from multiple reflected beams. The reflected beam serves for self-monitoring and regulation of the thermal efficiency of the flame during the combustion process and can be used also for monitoring in the NIR. Direct beam, which normally is designed for observation of the burning process can be further splitted electronically and used for regulation in visible light (VIS) region and direct observation of the flame. By the appropriate adaptation of brightness of computer monitor the residual intensity of the parasitic direct image can be handled. and U typů boroskopů, prezentovaných v článcích [1] a [2], je někdy výhodné zavést optický dělič, zvláště pak v tom případě, jestliže uvažujeme regulaci plamene i pro oblast blízkého infračerveného záření (NIR), viz [3].

6. Rhabdochona mexicana sp. n. (Ncmatoda: Rhabdochonidae) from the intestine of characid fishes in Mexico

- Format:
- Type:
- model:internalpart and TEXT
- Subject:
- Nematoda, Mexico, freshwater fish, Astyanax, and Rhabdochona
- Language:
- English
- Description:
- A new nematode, Rhabdochona mexicana sp. n., is described based on specimens recovered from the intestine of two species of fishes, Astyanax mexicanus (De Filippi) (type host) and Astyanax J'asciatus (Cuvier) (Characidae: Characiformes) in central Mexico. This species is characterised by the following characters: 10 anteriorly directed teeth in the prostom, a larger (left) spicule which is slender in form with a small bifurcation at its distal tip covered by a culicular membrane, a smaller (right) spicule without a barb at its distal tip, eggs bearing an irregular flock-like coaling, and a conical tail without a cuticular spike (in both sexes).
