Description:

Die Analyse der bisher fast vollständig unbeachtet gebliebenen Sammlung von Metallfunden meist fremden Ursprungs, die den Archivquellen zufolge im Raum der befestigten Höhensiedlung auf dem Gipfel Rubín gefunden wurden, trägt zur Datierung der Besiedlung dieses Fundorts in die Späthallstattzeit bei. Aus der Sicht der Zusammensetzung des Fundstoffs und seiner räumlichen Zusammenhänge gehört der Fundort zu den befestigten Höhensiedlungen mit Residenz der sozialen Elite, die dem gegenwärtigen Forschungsstand zufolge an die Siedlungsstruktur entlang des Wegesystems gebunden war, das über Böhmen die Gebiete in Nordeuropa mit Südeuropa gegen Ende der Hallstattzeit und zu Anfang der Latènezeit verband. Die festgestellten überregionalen Kontakte hingen nicht nur mit dem Gebiet zusammen, das sich südlich und südwestlich von Böhmen befindet, sondern spielten auch eine Vermittlerrolle für nördliche Nachbarschaft. and On the finds from Rubín Hill (NW Bohemia) and the importance of the site in the Hallstatt and Early La Tène period. An analysis of a hitherto neglected assemblage of metal finds of predominantly foreign provenance, whose origin in the area of a fortified settlement on the peak of Rubín Hill is documented by archive sources, proves the settlement of this locality in the Hallstatt period. From the point of view of the structure of the collection of finds and its spatial contexts, the locality is classified as a fortified elevated settlement serving as a residence for the social elite, linked to a network of settlements along a system of roads connecting several regions of northern and southern Europe via Bohemia at the end of the Hallstatt period and the start of the La Tène period. The established interregional contacts were not only connected with the regions to the south and south-west of Bohemia, but were also of intermediary importance for the area to the north of Bohemian territory.
