This review briefly outlines the history and possibilities of bone reconstruction using various types of artificial materials, which allow interaction with cells only on the surface of the implant or enable ingrowth of cells inside the material. Information is also provided on the most important properties of bone cells taking part in bone tissue development, and on diseases and regeneration. The most common cell types used for testing cell-material interaction in vitro are listed, and the most commonly used approaches to this testing are also mentioned. A considerable part of this review is dedicated to the physical and chemical properties of the materi al surface, which are decisive for the cell-material interaction, and also to modifications to the surface of the material aimed at integrating it better with the surrounding bone tissue. Special attention is paid to the effects of nanoscale and microscale surface roughness on cell behaviour, to material surface patterning, which allows regionally-selective adhesion and growth of cells, an d also to the surface chemistry. In addition, coating the materials with bioactive layers is examined, particularly those create d by deposition of fullerenes, hybrid metal-fullerene composites, carbon nanotubes, nanocrystalline diamond films, diamond-like carbon, and nanocomposite hydrocarbon plasma polymer films enriched with metals., M. This article is focused on the surface assessment of some ground glasses grinded by means different sorts of abrasion dust. It determines amplitude roughness parameters of ground glass samples and related PSD functions. Measurements were done by means of mechanical inductive profilometer Form Talysurf Series 2 - both software and hardware gear for solid surface assessment of shape, waviness and roughness with extraordinary resolution. and Článek je zaměřen na zhodnocení stavu povrchu několika matnic vybroušených různými brusivy stanovením amplitudových parametrů drsnosti a PSD funkcí. Mezi perspektivní technologie úpravy lepeného povrchu patří tryskání. Výsledná textura povrchu je závislá na mnoha parametrech. Mezi základní parametry patří zrnitost tryskaného materiálu a s tím související měrný rozměr zrna. Článek pojednává o vlivu rozměru zrna na parametry drsnosti povrchu a rovněž i jejich vliv na změnu pevnosti lepeného spoje.
Measuring of shape deviances, a surface roughness or a surface defects belongs to newly formed requirements in a serial production, especially in production of precise automotive parts. Methods, which are used so far, usually does not meet such requirements - their measuring capacity is not suitable, they cannot check a whole or at least a significant segment of a surface in a short time, they do not cover all the mentioned measuring parameters in one device, they are highly dependent on vibrations and fluctuation of temperature, etc. All of this can be solved using optical contactless dispersive methods. and Měření tvarových úchylek, drsnosti a často i povrchových defektů patří k novým požadavkům sériové výroby, zejména přesných autodílů. Dosud používané metody tyto požadavky většinou nesplňují - nevyhovují výkonem, neumožňují v krátkém čase oskenovat celou kontrolovanou plochu nebo alespoň její část, nezaručí jedním systémem proměřit uvedené parametry, jsou citlivé na vibrace, kolísání teploty atd. Problém je řešitelný až pomocí bezkontaktních optických disperzních metod.
Titanium-doped sapphire is a widely used transition-metal-doped gain medium for tunable lasers and femtosecond solid-state lasers. It was introduced in 1986, and thereafter Ti:sapphire lasers quickly replaced most dye lasers, which had previously dominated the fields of ultrashort pulse generation and widely wavelength-tunable lasers. These crystals are commonly grown by Czochralski method. Of the essence of this method there is often present a center artifact. That means striae, which negatively influence transmitted wavefront error of an optical element. In our case this was a disc with diameter 50 mm. With the aim to maximize TWE the disc was plan-polished from both sides (input and output surface). After measuring of TWE the disc was corrected via MRF by polishing one surface using QED Q22-Y machine. This local correction method uses deliberately removing of material to decrease influence of inhomogenity inside of disc material. Effectiveness of this method was confirmed after few correction steps which improved TWE more than three times. and Titanem dopovaný safír je široce rozšířené aktivní médium pro přeladitelné a femtosekundové pevnolátkové lasery. Byl poprvé představen v roce 1986 a poté Ti-safírové lasery rychle nahradily většinu barvivových laserů. Ty do té doby dominovaly na poli laserů s ultrakrátkými pulzy a na poli laserů s přeladitelnou vlnovou délkou. Krystaly Ti-safíru jsou nejčastěji pěstovány metodou Czochralského. Z její podstaty je v materiálu velmi často přítomen středový artefakt - strie negativně ovlivňující deformaci průchozí vlnoplochy (TWE) optickým elementem. V našem případě se jednalo o disk průměru 50 mm. V úmyslu zlepšit TWE disku co nejvíce, byl disk rovinně leštěn z obou stran (vstupní a výstupní plocha). Po měření TWE byl disk korigován metodou MRF pomocí leštění jedné plochy za použití zařízení QED Q22y. Tato metoda spočívá v lokálním odstraňování materiálu, které vede k potlačení vlivu nehomogenity uvnitř materiálu. Efektivita této metody byla potvrzena několika korekčními kroky, jež zlepšily TWE disku více než trojnásobně.
The aim of the paper is to present transient calculations of an elastohydrodynamically lubricated (EHL) point contact. The paper focuses on the description of the numerical algorithm used to model non-smooth contacts with surface feature on one of the contacting bodies.
