On the basis of laboratory and industrial experiments it was found that rubber can be treated by co-gasification with brown coal, namely in the process of the oxygen-steam pressure gasification in a moving bed (Lurgi gasification process). Considering the very low reactivity of the residual char from rubber, the optimal content of the rubber particles in the mixture being gasified should probably not exceed 10 wt.-%, but short-term increases in the proportion of these particles (up to 20 wt.-%) will not cause technological problems or significant economic losses., Pavel Straka, Vlastimil Kříž and Zdeněk Bučko., and Obsahuje bibliografii
Impaired wakefulness in machine operators poses a danger not only to themselves but often to the public at large as well. While on duty, such persons are expected to be continuously, i.e., without interruption, on the alert. For that purpose, we designed and carried out an experimental model of continuous vigilance monitoring using electroencephalography (EEG) and reaction time measured as the latency of the probanďs reaction to sound stimulus. If constructed, the set together with other logical elements and an alarm systém can be used for an autornatic detection of vigilance and, possibly, also of arousal stimuli in cases of micro-sleep.
The reactivity of a char depends very on the parent coal. Much information about correlation between properties of coal and reactivity of chars is lost by using only standard methods for a large dataset evaluation. In this research a set of 8 coals has been investigated by thermal analysis and reactivity of obtained chars was analyzed as a function of properties of parent coal properties using Canonical correlation analysis. The reactivity of chars was determined by thermogravimetric analysis of nonisothermal combustion in oxygen. It can be stated that methods of multivariate data analysis are useful tools for the interpretation of coal chars reactivity data., Mariusz Minkina, Elwira Zajusz-Zubek and Andrzej Mianowski., and Obsahuje bibliografii
