The aim of this paper is to present the results of an investigation of induced seismic events which occurred during mining in the coalfields of Plants Paskov and Staříč of the Paskov Mine which belong to the southern part of the Ostrava-Karviná coal mines. Some results obtained in the time period January 1992 - December 2002 have already been published, and therefore, are mentioned here only briefly. The paper is based on new results of seismological observations at the OKC, KLOK, STEB seismic stations operated by the Institute of Geonics AS CR and stations of the Green Gas DPB, a.s., Paskov. A total of 26 seismic events were monitored from January 2008 to February 2012, most of them were localized into the area under study. As for the energy span of individual events according to the energetic classification of the Geophysical Centre of the Green Gas DPB, a.s., Paskov, all seismic events in Table 1 were estimated within the limits E(J) <5.0 ×102 ÷ 2.0 × 104>., Karel Holub, Jana Rušajová and Josef Holečko., and Obsahuje bibliografii
This paper is devoted to a complex review of various monitoring networks operating in the eastern part of the Ostrava- Karviná Coal Basin. In the first place, there were systems for monitoring seismo acoustic emissions during coal extraction. Later a local seismic network was installed which encompasses pa rtial arrays of seismic stati ons located in the individual mines underground. In addition, a special regional seismic network was established in order to ensure reasonable recordings of strong seismic events observed in this area. In 2001 an array was constructed with up to five surface seismic stations which monitor manifestations of rockbursts due to imposed dynamic loading on existing buildings at selected sites. Recently, a quite new monitoring system of accelerometers began operating, the purpose of which is to check the effects of rockbursts on surface structures. Using the output data of all monitoring systems, different graphs were constructed, which can faciliate geophysical interpretation of geodynamic processes in mines., Karel Holub, Josef Holečko, Jana Rušajová and Anna Dombková., and Obsahuje bibliografické odkazy
Jednoznačně proto doporučujeme haldy ponechat spontánní sukcesi, před finančně náročnými technicky vedenými rekultivacemi., The spoil heaps in Ostrava were created during mining of black coal in the first half of the 20th century. Later, there were efforts to “heal” the landscape by technical reclamations, which are rather expensive. Our studies showed that spontaneous succession on non-reclaimed spoil heaps is faster then succession on their reclaimed counterparts. The communities of invertebrates on non-reclaimed spoil heaps are also more mature and contain rare species in comparison with the reclaimed ones., and Jiří Hodeček, Tomáš Kuras.
