- Aphis hieracii Schrank (apterous and alate viviparous female, ovipara, male) is defined, along with description of three new species: A. heiei sp. n. (apt. and al; viv. fem.) on Hieracium umbellatum from Denmark, A. curtiseta sp. n. (apt. viv. fem., fundatrix, ovipara and male) on Hieracium (Pilosella) spp. from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Moldova and the Ukraine (Crimea), and Aphis mohelnensis sp. n. (apt. and al. viv. fem.) on H. (P.) echioides from the Czech Republic, H. (P.) bauhinii from Bulgaria and H. virosum from Uzbekistan. The latter species differs from A. hieracii in having a long ultimate rostral segment, shorter processus terminalis and, in alate females, more numerous secondary rhinaria. Additonal notes on taxonomy, host plants and distribution of A. hieracii and A. pilosellae are given. Records of Aphis fabae s. lat, and A. frangulae s. lat, on Hieracium spp., are reviewed and a key to the seven species of Aphis on Hieracium is provided.

- This paper deals with the taxonomy and distribution of Folsomia species from northern Russia with special reference to the Asian regions. Eight new species are described: F. amplissima sp. n., F. ancestor sp, n., F. atropolaris sp. n., F. borealis sp. n., F. brevisensilla sp. n., F. cryptophila sp. n., F. longidens sp. n., F. palaearctica sp. n. Five species, F. taimyrica, F. regularis, F. sp. aff. altamontana, F. alpha, and F. janstachi (nom. n. for Isotomina gracilis Stach, 1962 nec Folsomia gracilis Latzel, 1922), are redescribed. F. binoculata (Wahlgren) has been recovered and redescribed. The positions of F. macrochaetosa, F. magadani, and F. tesari have been defined more exactly on the basis of type material. An identification key of the northern Asiatic species of the genus is given.

- Při soupisu středověkých a raně novověkých militarií z českých a moravských sbírek byla již objevena řada unikátních zbraní. K nim patří i zde prezentované dva bohatě zdobené tesáky, jež jsou vybaveny masivními záštitnými trny se specifickou výzdobou. Díky bohaté výzdobě a srovnáním s obdobně dekorovanými předměty je lze velmi pravděpodobně datovat do konce 15. a počátku 16. století. and Dussacks with perforated knuckle-bows from Moravian collections. Inventories of medieval and Early Modern period military paraphernalia from Bohemian and Moravian collections have already revealed numerous unique weapons. These include the weapons presented in this essay: two richly decorated dussacks featuring massive knuckle-bows with special decoration. On the basis of the elaborate decoration and comparisons with objects decorated in a similar manner, the dussacks can very likely be dated to the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century.

- The type species of Pseudopsila Johnson, P. fallax (Loew), and two related species are found to belong in Psila s. str., and Pseudopsila is thus synonymized with Psila Meigen. The remaining species formerly included in Pseudopsila form a monophyletic group here described as Xenopsila Buck subgen. n. [i.e., Psila (Xenopsila) collaris Loew comb. n., P. (X.) bivittata Loew comb. n., P. (X.) lateralis Loew comb. n., P. (X.) arbustorum Shatalkin comb. n., P. (X.) nemoralis Shatalkin comb. n., P. (X.) tetrachaeta (Shatalkin) comb. n., P. (X.) maculipennis (Frey) comb. n., P. (X.) nigricollis (Frey) comb. n., P. (X.) nigrohumera (Wang & Yang) comb. n.]. A key to the Nearctic species of Xenopsila and the Psila fallax-group is provided. The placement of Xenopsila in Psila s. l. is confirmed by newly recognised synapomorphies of the egg stage. The somewhat questionable monophyly of Psila s. l. is confirmed based on these new synapomorphies, thereby slightly expanding its taxonomic limits to also include Asiopsila Shatalkin. The morphology of the male genitalia of Xenopsila is discussed in detail, clarifying confused homologies and character polarities in the hypandrial complex. Evolutionary trends in the development of the hypandrium in the subfamily Psilinae are discussed.

- A review of West Palaearctic species of the genus Eloeophila Rondani, 1856 is presented. Three species are redescribed, viz. E. czernyi (Strobl in Czerny & Strobl, 1909), E. laciniata (Edwards, 1928), and E. pusilla (Kuntze, 1920). A lectotype of the latter is designated. Eloeophila albofascia (Alexander, 1975) is established as a new junior synonym of E. apicata (Loew, 1871). Descriptions are provided of E. bipartita sp. n. (North Italy), E. delmastroi sp. n. (North Italy), E. lucasi sp. n. (South Italy and Sicily), E. maroccana sp. n. (Morocco, Spain), E. martinovskyi sp. n. (South Italy), E. minor sp. n. (Czech Republic, Slovakia), E. pectinistylus sp. n. (Spain), E. punctulata sp. n. [Cyprus, Greece (Crete)], E. sparsipunctum sp. n. (Bulgaria), and E. tigricosta sp. n. (Spain). A key to males of all West Palaearctic species is presented.
