Současná představa o stavební podobě velkých hospodářských dvorů ve středověku se opírá především o výsledky povrchových (geodeticko-topografických) průzkumů těch lokalit, které zanikly nejpozději v 16. stol. a poté je pohltil les. V archeologickou památku se proměnil také dvůr Rychvald v centrální části Džbánské pahorkatiny. Podle výrazných destrukcí kamenných zdí dodnes určíme rozsah jeho pravoúhlého ohrazeného jádra a základní rozvrh zástavby, dokonce i půdorysné členění některých budov. Kusé údaje v písemných pramenech naznačují, že dvůr ve 14. stol. přináležel k majetkům kláštera klarisek v nedalekém Panenském Týnci. and The current notion of the construction appearance of large farmyards in the Middle Ages is based primarily on the results of surface surveys (geodetic-topographic) of these sites, which were abandoned at the latest in the 16th century and subsequently covered by forests. Also the Rychvald farmyard in the central part of the Džbán Downs was transformed into an archaeological monument this way. The distinct ruins of the stone walls can still be used to determine the expanse of the right-angled enclosure surrounding the centre, the basic layout of the development and even the ground plans of certain buildings. Brief information in written sources indicates that in the 14th century the farmyard belonged to the Poor Clare monastery in nearby Panenský Týnec.
