- In whole cells of the wild type of Synechocystis 6714 exposed to high irradiance (Hl) the electron transfer to Qb was inhibited before the transfer to Qa In the mutant AzV with two point mutations in the Qg pocket (Ala 251 Val and Phe 211 Ser) the inhibition of electron transport to Qb had about the same rate as in the wild type but the transport to Qa was inhibited faster in the mutant. In the mutant also the repair of photosystem 2 (PS 2) reaction centres was slower after a moderate photoinhibitory damage. In contrast degradation of the Dl protein in the course of photoinhibition in vitro was slower with thylakoids from the mutant than with those of the wild type. In CMamydomonas cells photoinhibited at low temperature (5 °C) and in spinách thylakoids under anaerobic conditions a fast inhibition of electron transfer developed in PS 2 simultaneously with a State characteiized by a high level of F^. This high fluorescent statě disappeared and electron transport activity was restored in the dark without protein synďiesis when photoinhibited samples were soon transferred to higher temperature (25 °C) or to aerobic conditions, respectively. On the other hand, the irreversible photoinhibitory damage characteiized by the dechne of was slowed down by lowering of the temperature in all the objects tested.

- Der Aufsatz befasst sich mit dem Vergleich von zwei Konzeptionen des literarischen Werks, die am Ausgang des 20. Jahrhunderts sehr einflussreich wurden. Der Vergleich betrifft den „Akt des Lesens“ (Wolfgang Iser), der im „Textspiel“ seinen Höhepunkt erreicht, und den Entwurf der „produktiven Referenz“ (Paul Ricoeur). Die letzgenannte Konzeption unterscheidet sich von der zuerst genannten durch eine eigenartige Auffasung von „Mimesis“, doch sie ist (in der „Lebendigen Metapher“ sowie in „Zeit und Erzählung“) ebenfalls auf die Bedeutungen der Welt gerichtet, die im literarischen Werk durch die kreative Kraft der Sprache neu gestaltet wird.

7. Schistosomes causing cercarial dermatitis: a mini-review of current trends in systematics and of host specificity and pathogenicity

- The human infection known under the names cercarial dermatitis or swimmers' itch is generally associated with swimming in lakes all over the world, however, a number of outbreaks of cercarial dermatitis developing in salt or brackish waters are also reported. The disease presents as allergic reaction which is able to trap and eliminate the parasites in the skin. However, the infection can be linked to more than skin symptoms under certain circumstances. Recent studies on bird schistosomes have shown that during primary infections of noncompatible hosts (mice) the parasites may migrate through visceral and nervous tissues of mammals. Up to date, cercarial dermatitis has been mostly associated with the cercariae of bird schistosomes of the genus Trichobilharzia. Recent findings of new genera and species indicate, however, broader spectrum of causative agents of the disease with different life cycles, host specificity and pathogenicity.

8. Teoretické základy magnetického cielenia liečiv, separácie buniek a magnetofekcie

- V oblasti magnetického cielenia buniek, liečiv alebo génov, využívajúc princíp magnetickej separácie vel'kým gradientom, boli navrhnuté a teoreticky analyzované nové systémy, ako aj jednoduché usporiadania magnetov, už skôr študované Halbachovo pole. Na modelovanie magnetického pol'a sa s úspechom použiva metóda konečných prvkov. Táto metóda je predmetom tohto referátu. Novým potenciálnym systémom na magnetickú separáciu v mikrometrických rozemroch je nami študované pole s ve'lkým gradientom v okolí mikrometrických diskov zo silného feromagnetika v pôvodne homogénnom poli. Bol určený približný efektívny dosah takéhoto systému v prípade nanočastíc rádovo v mikrometroch. Obdobná analýza bola vykonaná aj pre magnetické částice v prúdiacom viskóznom tekutom prostredí. Účinná separácia, resp. cielenie, v prípade malých magnetov milimetrových rozmerov v priamom kontakte s kapilárou bola dosiahnutá pre mikročastice. V podobných systémoch v centimetrových rozemroch boli pozorované porovnatel'né výsledky. Kombinácia vel'kejj intenzity a gradientu je dosiahnutá len v blízkom okolí magnetov. Väčší dosah bol pozorovaný v prípade študovaného symetrického Halbachovho pol'a., The magnetic particles play an important role as magnetic drug, gene or cell carriers, in biomedicine and biotechnology. Their combination with a strongly non-homogeneous magnetic field is considered as a powerful way to target them to desired sites in living organism. It is important to know the potential applicability of these systems for magnetic drug targeting in living organism.
