The aim of this contribution is to study the role of the coefficient r in the qualitative theory of the equation (r(t)Φ(y ∆))∆+p(t)Φ(y σ ) = 0, where Φ(u) = |u| α−1 sgn u with α > 1. We discuss sign and smoothness conditions posed on r, (non)availability of some transformations, and mainly we show how the behavior of r, along with the behavior of the graininess of the time scale, affect some comparison results and (non)oscillation criteria. At the same time we provide a survey of recent results acquired by sophisticated modifications of the Riccati type technique, which are supplemented by some new observations.
A method for B-spline filtration of data measured on a very precisely manufactured sphere is described in this paper. The method has been developed to decrease the uncertainty of measurement which can be obtained by least squares method commonly used when processing the measured data. The B-spline filtration is realised as a B-spline surface approximating the data measured on 3D coordinate measuring machine and transformed into the parametric space of the sphere. This transformaton eliminates the undesirable consequences of convex hull property of B-spline surfaces when processing convex data. Furthermore, the B-spline representation of the measured sphere can be considered as a certain replacement of the original sphere. Subsequently, the B-spline representation can be used for a new more precise measuring strategy in iterative measuring process. and Obsahuje seznam literatury
In this paper, we introduce two transformations on a given copula to construct new and recover already-existent families. The method is based on the choice of pairs of order statistics of the marginal distributions. Properties of such transformations and their effects on the dependence and symmetry structure of a copula are studied.
In this paper we present an algebraic approach that describes the structure of analytic objects in a unified manner in the case when their transformations satisfy certain conditions of categorical character. We demonstrate this approach on examples of functional, differential, and functional differential equations.
The present paper deals with the force function´s transformation in the general threebody problem in Jacobi´s coordinates. In this transformation we make use of Rose´s idea about the traslation of the spherical functions in Quantum Electrodynamics.
Obsáhlá stať přímého aktivního účastníka transformace ČSAV po 17. listopadu 1989 a prvních let činnosti Akademie věd České republiky je věnována událostem a dějům, které proběhly v Československé akademii věd v době od 17. listopadu 1989 do konce června 1990. Její první část, nazvaná Šest revolučních týdnů (listopad-prosinec 1989), se zabývá vznikem a bouřlivou aktivitou občanských hnutí členů ČSAV a pracovníků jejích pracovišť, která vyvrcholila konáním mimořádného valného shromáždění členů ČSAV dne 21. prosince 1989, kompletní změnou vedení ČSAV a přijetím prvního komplexního programu její zásadní přestavby. Ve druhé části stati (jež bude uveřejněna v následujícím čísle našeho časopisu), pojmenované Půlroční dvojvládí (leden-červen 1990), se podrobně popisuje vývoj a činnost ČSAV v dalším období, kdy v jejím čele společně stálo prozatímní prezidium ČSAV a předsednictvo Komory volených zástupců pracovišť ČSAV., This extensive article by a direct and active participant in the transformation of CSAS after 17th November 1989 and the first years of activity of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic focuses on the events and happenings that took place at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in the period from 17th November 1989 to the end of June 1990. Its first part, entitled Six revolutionary weeks (November-December 1989), deals with the origins and turbulent activities surrounding the civic movements of CSAS members and staff at its institutes, which culminated in the extraordinary General Meeting of CSAS members on 21st December 1989, the complete change in CSAS management and the adoption of the first comprehensive programme for its fundamental reconstruction. The second part of the article (which will be published in the following issue of our journal) entitled Six months of dual government (January-June 1990) describes in detail the developments and activities at CSAS in the subsequent period when it was headed jointly by the interim CSAS Presidium and the Presidium of the Chamber of Elected CSAS Institute Representatives. Autor, který byl v šedesátých letech minulého století vedoucím sekretariátu prezidia ČSAV, po srpnu 1968 byl z této funkce odvolán a přeřazen jako odborný pracovník do tehdejšího Ústředního archivu ČSAV, se po listopadu 1989 aktivně podílel na zásadní ideové, personální i organizační transformaci Akademie, k níž došlo v návaznosti na změnu celkového politického a ekonomického systému Československa a později České republiky. Ve své práci o počátcích této transformace od listopadu 1989 do poloviny roku 1990 se proto mohl opírat nejen o důkladné využití příslušných archivních pramenů, ale i o bohaté osobní zážitky, vzpomínky a vlastní záznamy z tohoto období. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, z nichž první, nazvaná Šest revolučních týdnů se zabývá obdobím od 17. listopadu 1989 do mimořádného Valného shromáždění členů ČSAV dne 21. prosince 1989, a druhá, pojmenovaná charakteristicky Půlroční dvojvládí, pak vývojem ČSAV od ledna 1990 do řádného LIX. Valného shromáždění ČSAV, které se konalo 28. června 1990. V první části (vyšla v Pracích z dějin Akademie věd, 2012, roč. 4, č. 1) se nejprve popisují intenzivní a v zásadě jednomyslné spontánní reakce pracovníků ústavů ČSAV i části členů ČSAV na události 17. listopadu 1989. Z těchto akcí se vyvinuly dvě nejdůležitější občanské aktivity na půdě Akademie - Koordinační centrum občanských aktivit ČSAV, jež se stalo základem pro ustavení tzv. Komory volených zástupců pracovišť ČSAV jako součásti Valného shromáždění ČSAV, a Konsultační skupina členů ČSAV, která podnítila odstoupení dosavadního prezidia ČSAV a svolání mimořádného valného shromáždění členů ČSAV, které zvolilo nové prozatímní vedení ČSAV a formulovalo ucelený program její další transformace. Horečná aktivita obou těchto center v závěru roku 1989 je podrobně popsána včetně jejich vzájemných vztahů, jež se vyznačovaly úspěšnou spoluprací v úsilí o dosažení hlavních společných cílů i řadou rozdílných názorů a sporů při řešení dílčích problémů. Druhá část práce se podrobně zabývá děním v Československé akademii věd během prvního pololetí 1990, kdy její činnost společně řídily dva orgány – prozatímní prezidium ČSAV v čele s akademikem M. Katětovem a předsednictvo Komory volených zástupců pracovišť ČSAV. I když rozhodující pravomoc mělo z těchto dvou orgánů podle tehdejších právních předpisů pouze prezidium ČSAV, složené z členů Akademie, byly jejich vzájemné vztahy a procedura jejich jednání upraveny tak, že pravomocná rozhodnutí byla vždy přijímána pouze po dosažení oboustranného souhlasu. Toto řešení plně odpovídalo panující vzrušené atmosféře a v praxi kupodivu přineslo méně problémů a obtíží, než se původně předpokládalo. Jednotlivé oddíly této části, pak blíže popisují vlastní činnost řídících orgánů ČSAV a jejich úřednického aparátu, zahájení restrukturalizace soustavy pracovišť ČSAV a demokratizaci jejich vnitřního života, odstraňování deformací ve sboru členů ČSAV, rehabilitaci politicky postižených pracovníků pracovišť ČSAV, přípravu zákonných úprav Československé akademie věd a její podíl na novém celostátním uspořádání a financování vědy a výzkumu i řešení aktuálních otázek výzkumné a ediční činnosti ČSAV, její spolupráce s vysokými školami, výchovy vědeckých pracovníků, mezinárodní vědecké spolupráce a ekonomického zabezpečení výzkumné činnosti. Závěr práce je pak věnován přípravě a průběhu LIX. Valného shromáždění ČSAV, které - již v souladu s novelizovaným zákonem o ČSAV a novými prozatímními Stanovami ČSAV - zvolilo nové řádné prezidium ČSAV pod vedením akademika O. Wichterleho a svým usnesením stanovilo program další transformace ČSAV na moderní demokratickou vědeckou instituci., The author, who was CSAS Presidium Secretariat Chairman during the 1960s, was removed from this position after August 1968 and reassigned as a specialist to what was then the CSAS Central Archive. After November 1989 he played an active role in the basic ideological, organizational and staffing transformation at the Academy, which occurred in association with the changes in the overall political and economic system in Czechoslovakia and then the Czech Republic. In his work on the origins of this transformation from November 1989 to mid-1990 he could thus base himself not only on painstaking utilization of the appropriate archive sources, but also on his own extensive personal experience, memories and notes from this period. This work is divided into two parts, the first of which, entitled Šest revolučních týdnů [Six revolutionary weeks], deals with the period from 17th November 1989 to the extraordinary General Meeting of CSAS members on 21st December 1989, while the second, characteristically entitled Půlroční dvojvládí [Six months of dual government], with CSAS developments from January 1990 to the ordinary LIX CSAS General Meeting which took place 28th June 1990. In the first part (Práce z dějin Akademie věd 4, 2012, no 1) the intensive and basically unanimous spontaneous reactions of CSAS institute staff are described, as well as the participation of some CSAS members in the events of 17th November 1989. These events gave rise to two of the most important civic activities at the Academy - the CSAS Civic Activities Coordination Centre, which formed the basis for the establishment of what was known as the Chamber of Elected CSAS Institute Representatives as part of the CSAS General Meeting, and the CSAS Members' Consultative Group, which brought about the resignation of the current CSAS Presidium and the convening of an extraordinary General Meeting of CSAS members, which elected a new interim CSAS management and formulated an integrated programme for its subsequent transformation. The feverish activity of both of these centres at the end of 1989 is described in detail, together with their mutual relations, which were remarkable for their successful collaboration over endeavours to achieve their primary joint aims, as well as their many differing opinions and the disputes over the solutions to individual problems. The second part of the work deals in detail with happenings at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences during the first half of 1990, when its activities were jointly managed by two bodies - the interim CSAS Presidium headed by Academician M. Katětov and the Presidium of the Chamber of Elected CSAS Institute Representatives. Although under, legal regulations in effect at the time, of the two bodies only the CSAS Presidium, made up of Academy members, had the authority to take decisions, their mutual relations and the procedure behind their negotiations were governed in such a way that authorized decisions were only adopted after the consent of both sides was attained. This solution was fully in harmony with the prevailing agitated atmosphere and surprisingly it brought fewer problems and difficulties in practice than were originally anticipated. The individual sections of this part then describe in greater detail the actual activities of the CSAS governing bodies and their official apparatus, the commencement of restructuring of the CSAS institutional system and the democratization of their internal life, the elimination of distortions in the CSAS membership base, the rehabilitation of politically persecuted CSAS institute staff, the drafting of legislative amendments for the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences and its role in the new nationwide arrangements and funding for science and research and the solution to current issues involving CSAS research and editorial activities, its collaboration with institutes of higher education, the training of research workers, international research collaboration and the economic underpinning of research activity. The work concludes with the preparations for, and procedure of, the LIX CSAS General Meeting, which - now in compliance with the amended legislation on CSAS and the new interim CSAS Statutes - elected a new ordinary CSAS Presidium under the direction of Academician O.
