Objectives. The aim of the present study was to adapt the English self-report questionnaire Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 (TAS-20) to Slovak conditions, as well as to evaluate its reliability and to investigate its 3-factor structure reported by the authors. TAS-20 is used to measure the construct of alexithymia and its 3 components identified by the authors (i.e. difficulty identifying feelings, difficulty describing feelings and externally-oriented thinking). Subjects and setting. After having done a back- translation in cooperation with the author of I AS-20, its reliability and factor validity was evaluated within the sample of 242 university female students. Statistical analysis. The structure of TAS-20 c|uestionnaire was examined via confirmatory factor analysis (maximum likelihood procedure). Cronbach coefficients alpha were calculated to assess internal consistency aspect of reliability of the TAS-20 scale and its subscales. Results. It has been shown that TAS-20 represents a reliable measurement instrument. Although the results of CFA supported the 3-factor structure of the Slovak version of TAS-20 they indicated the appropriateness/ plausibility of its alternative 4-factor solution as well. Study limitation, (a) measurement of alexithymia is self-reported; (b) the findings are limited to a sample of university female students., Veronika Látalová, Ľubor Pilárik., and Obsahuje seznam literatury
Záverom prináša prehľad doterajších výskumných zistení ohľadom EFTC, ktoré zhrňujú výskumy efektu terapie, metaanalýzy, štúdie efektívnosti nákladov a výskumy procesu zmeny v terapii, výskumy efektívnosti tejto párovej terapie na rozličných vzorkách populácie a v špecifických životných situáciách., Emotion focused couples therapy or Emotionally focused therapy for couples (EFTC) is short-term 8 to 20 sessions, structured therapy originally developed in 1980’s by Leslie Greenberg and Sue Johnson. It is one of the most empirically based types of couple therapy. Research has found that 70-75% of couples who undergo EFTC, will recover from distress, and these results are tested as stable over time by follow-up. All together with other research findings, EFTC meets the criteria for evidence based treatment. Study outlines the theoretical background of this couple therapy, which is relatively little known to Slovak and Czech therapists, and its differences comparing to other marital therapies. The contribution discusses the various phases and steps of the therapeutic process and explains the different kinds of dyadic cycles and process of change. In conclusion, it provides an overview of current research findings regarding EFTC that summarize effect size research, meta-analyzes, studies of costeffectiveness research and change process in therapy, research of the effectiveness of the therapy for different samples of the population and people in specific situations., and Júlia Halamová.
