Description
The unedited film footage maps the spa houses, recreational facilities, sanatoriums, and treatment institutes in the Czechoslovak Republic, their clients, and the process of their construction. This was likely intended to show off the country's robust social security network for workers and their children. In addition to footage of the buildings of the Ministry of Health, the Social Security Administration and the Trade Union in Prague, the film includes shots of the "Holy Water" Hospital in the town Lázně Libverda, Masaryk's vacation settlement Sanatorka in Blansko, the sanatorium in Jetřichovice, Dr. Szontágh's Sanatorium in Nový Smokovec, Novák's Children's Home in Radostín, The Bakula Institute in Prague's Smichov, the convalescent home in Jablunkov, the lung clinic in Prosečnice, the Martinsthal Sanatorium in Cvikov, the sanatorium in Staré Město pod Sněžníkem, The Masaryk Convalescent Home in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, the Children's Sanatorium "Království" in Nemojov, the sanatorium in the Vráž Castle near Písek, the children's sanatorium in Dvůr Králové nad Labem, the Morava Sanatorium in Nový Smolenec, etc.
