Description
The segment from the 1942 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 20A informs the viewer about the academic studies of nurses in Moravská Ostrava. A shot of the school's exterior. Students are doing warm-up exercises on the terrace. A girl is standing in a classroom in front of a three-dimensional model of the human body. Girls looking into microscopes. The girls are all dressed in nurses' uniforms during practical lessons, where they learn about the proper handling and treatment of patients. They receive training in infant care along with precautions against mistaking the children.
