Description
The segment from the 1938 Československý zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czechoslovak Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 9 depicts the production of diphtheria vaccines at the Státní zdravotní ústav (State Health Institute) in Prague. Veal is ground in the laboratory to make meat broth. Manufactured anatoxin is diluted with the meat broth and the finished serum is prepared for distribution.
