'Incendiary's Daughter' at the Vinohrady Theatre

Unused footage from the 1944 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) 13B shows the first performance of Josef Kajetán Tyl's play 'Paličova dcera' (Incendiary's Daughter) performed by the National Theatre company on 15 March 1944 at the Divadlo na Vinohradech (Vinohrady Theatre). The premiere took place as part of the celebrations of the 5th anniversary of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The Minister of Education and National Enlightenment Emanuel Moravec speaks prior to the performance. Actress Růžena Šlemrová, journalist Bedřich Rádl and director Vladimír Slavínský are sitting in the auditorium. This is followed by excerpts from the performance.
