Description
The segment from the 1943 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 45A depicts the harvesting and processing of peat. Footage of an extraction in a peat bog, the transportation of the material in mining carts, and its subsequent processing. Peat is formed into cubes and used as fuel. Aside from that, it is also used in fertiliser production.
