Description
The segment captures the opening ceremony of the Lidové sanatorium (People's Sanatorium) in Prosečnice on 14 May 1922. The sanatorium was built in 1916-1922 by the Society for the Healthcare of Workers (Spolkem pro péči a zdraví dělnictva) Humanita and since its founding has been intended, under the patronage of Charlotta Masaryk, for treating tuberculosis and other serious lung diseases. Footage from the ceremony, a part of which was a speech by member of parliament Gustav Habrman. Footage of the hospital premises and the surrounding forest.
