Unused footage from the 1945 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) No. 9 records the events in the streets of Prague after the air raid on 14 February 1945 which struck the National Theatre´s set piece warehouse, among other buildings. The camera captures people carrying away the victims and wounded and clearing off the debris near Charles Square. Shots of the burning Faustův dům (Faust House), the destroyed National Theatre warehouse and the hospital in the former Jesuit college building. Views of destroyed and burning monuments in the vicinity of the Church of St. Cosmas and Damian at Slovany (kostel sv. Kosmy a Damiána Na Slovanech) and the Emmaus Monastery (Emauzský klášter), Palacký Square (Palackého náměstí), Myslbek's statue on Palacký Bridge (Palackého most), Jirásek Square (Jiráskovo náměstí) and Vinohradská Avenue (Vinohradská třída). Fire fighting, clearing works and rescue of the injured are happening in the streets.
