Description
The segment from the 1941 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 36A captures marine traffic in Prague's Smíchov port. Workers are unloading coal transported from the Ústecký Region from a ship. The voiceover states that one ship can hold around 850-1000 tons of coal. Footage of coal moving through on a conveyor belt. A Prague Coal Association wagon and a few horse-drawn wagons stand on the waterfront. The voiceover states that these times require no wasted coal.
