Description
The segment from the 1944 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 4B shows the technology used to modify ships for alternative propulsion and fuels, mainly gas. The diesel and petrol saving efforts during the war led to the prevalence of gas generators. Footage of welding, lengthening, and adjusting of a ship's hull, and of a gas generator installation.
