Description
A segment from the 1929 Deglův žurnál (Degl´s Newsreel) Issue No.10 shows a charity event in the poor community of Hliník in Motol near Prague in 1929, right when a wave of extreme cold hit. The poor townsfolk move around the snow-covered settlement. Red Cross workers distribute soup to those in need. Nearby is a Red Cross car with the word Zemka written on it. A shot of people queueing up with pots and jugs. Distribution of warm clothes follows. A considerable amount of snow has fallen.
