Description
The segment from the Elektajournal depicts the renovations done to the Prague Castle and its surroundings in 1935. A shot of laying and paving of a road near Queen Anne's Summer Palace (Letohrádek královny Anny) and newly landscaped flower beds. The interior of the Old Royal Palace (Starý královský palác) was also under reconstruction. President Edvard Beneš and his wife Hana observe the construction and excavation work. Art historian Václav Vilém Štech and chief councilor Vojtěch Schets give them a tour of the site.
