Description
The segment from the 1939 Paramount News (Zvukový týdeník Paramount) Issue No. 1 captures the events inside the Karlín Musical Theatre (Hudební divadlo v Karlíně), where the National Theatre ensemble, under the name Prozatimní divadlo (Provisional Theatre), operated during the Protectorate. Shots of the final stages of preparation. The theatre staff is inspecting the future venue. Among those present are actors Zdeněk Štěpánek, Eduard Kohout and director Jan Bor.
