Unused footage from the 1941 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 28B segment shows medical treatment of tuberculosis at the Prague Bulovka Hospital. Doctors are setting up a negative pressure ventilator called the iron lung, which envelops almost the entirety of the patient's body and facilitates breathing by fluctuating the pressure in the enclosed space.
