The Živnostenská Banka on Na Příkopě Street

The unedited 1938 film footage shows the almost completed functionalist building of the Živnostenská banka (lit. Small Business Bank), present-day Czech National Bank, which was designed by architect František Roith and built on the Na Příkopě Street in the years 1935-1942. A shot of the insides of the steel-plated main safe, the entrance hall, the meeting hall, and other parts of the interior. The following footage captures the regular business and activities at the bank's counters. The segment ends with a portrait and a bust of President Edvard Beneš, the presidential standard, and the Czechoslovak national emblem.
