Description
The segment from the 1941 týdeník UFA žurnál (UFA Journal newsreel) Issue No. 284 shows the ceremonial opening of the first SS infirmary in the Podolské sanatorium building in Prague in May 1941. The SS flag is raised in front of the building. The opening ceremony was attended by State Secretary of the Reich Protector's Office Karl Hermann Frank, Reich Protector Konstantin von Neurath, and Generalstabsintendant Karl Jansch. Staff physician Sturmbannführer Steuer and the head of the German Red Cross Ernst-Robert Grawitz address the assembled crowd. Neurath and Frank inspect the rooms and the garden of Podolské sanatorium. Guards are patrolling the main entrance to the building.
