Description
The segment from the 1942 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 26 maps the locations of medicinal plant habitats in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Shots of collected herbs; white nettle flowers, blooming hawthorn bushes, celandine, strawberry leaves, birch trees, thyme. The segment shows the collecting and processing of various types of herbs, drying attic rooms, and the subsequent transportation of the herbs to pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.
