The Church of St Agnes in Spořilov

The segment from the 1934 Československý filmový týdeník (Czechoslovak Newsreel) Issue No. 45 features the ceremonial cornerstone laying and consecration of the functionalist church of Saint Agnes of Bohemia (kostel sv. Anežky) on Roztylské náměstí (Roztylské Square) in Spořilov on October 28, 1934. The author of the project was architect Nikolaj Pavlovič Paškovskij. Archbishop Karel Kašpar was present at the ceremony. The church's construction was completed exactly one year later, on October 28, 1935.
