Description
The segment from the 1943 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 7 promotes collections of reusable materials. The narrator talks about the wastefulness of the past years. Children bring materials to their school. Waste is sorted at collection points so that it can be further processed. Old bones are ground into bone meal. Old rags are used to make yarn. Old metals are recycled to make iron. Footage of a metallurgical plant in operation.
