Description
The segment from the weekly Deglův žurnál (Degl's Newsreel) depicts the construction of the functionalist SVU Mánes (Mánes Association of Fine Artists) Exhibition Hall on the Masaryk embankment, designed by architect Otakar Novotný and built in the years 1928-1930 on the original site of the old Šítkovský mill, which was demolished in 1928.
