Description
The segment from the weekly Elektajournal features the construction of the reinforced concrete building of the Mining and Smelting Company (Báňská a hutní společnost) on Prague's Jungmannova Street. The monumental functionalist palace has a rounded corner, a shopping arcade, and an inner covered courtyard. It was designed by architect Josef K. Říha and built in the years 1928-1930. In addition to the transport of iron beams, the footage showcases the houses across the road on Vodičková Street.
