The segment from the 1942 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) No. 16 reports on the rehearsal of Werner Egk's ballet Joan of Zarissa, starring the dancer Yelizaveta Nikolskaya. This is followed by an excerpt from the performance at the National Theatre. The orchestra is conducted by Rudolf Vašata. The author of the ballet Werner Egk is present in the theatre´s loge.
