Description
The segment from the 1928 weekly Deglův žurnál (Degl's Newsreel) Issue No. 11 features the 1928 renovations of Náměstí Míru (Peace Square) in Vinohrady. In addition to shots of the 1888 neo-Gothic Basilica of St. Ludmila (kostel sv. Ludmily) by architect Josef Mocker and the 1905 building of the Vinohrady Theater (Divadlo na Vinohradech) by architect Alois Čenský, the segment shows shots of the usual street traffic on the square and passing trams.
