Description
The unedited footage features the construction of the Trade Fair Palace (Veletržní palác) in Prague's Holešovice district, designed by architects Josef Fuchs and Oldřich Tyl in 1925. One of Prague's first and largest functionalist buildings was built to host trade fairs of the Prague Sample Trade Fairs company. Later, it became the headquarters of Foreign Trade Enterprises (PZO). At present, it belongs to the National Gallery. Captured on camera are the first phases of construction, the entirety of the construction site, and its surroundings.
