Description
A segment from the 1943 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 1 features a Christmas event for children in poverty held in the Lucerna Palace by the Sociální pomoc (Social Aid) Foundation. State President Emil Hácha, Minister of Education and Public Enlightenment Emanuel Moravec, and Prime Minister of the Protectorate Jaroslav Krejčí are present at the event. Karel Chalupa, Commissioner of the Sociální pomoc Foundation for Bohemia and Moravia, gives a speech. The children receive Christmas presents and mugs of hot chocolate. Footage of children drinking the hot chocolate.
