Description
The segment from the 1942 Český zvukový týdeník Aktualita (Czech Aktualita Sound Newsreel) Issue No. 44B depicts the process of making jute from paper. The paper is first machine cut into thin strips which are spun into spools on a mechanical spinning machine. A mechanical loom weaves the jute fabric. The paper mill workers transport the jute cloth on a trolley.
